WTWM AT Part 1

Part 1: The Portal

Finn and Jake watched as Princess Bubblegum carefully poured one formula into another.

"They're highly unstable. If anything dared to knock it off course--" The princess stopped. The Ice King had barged into the room through the window.

"Um, hello. Am I interrupting anything? I was just a little bored today so I decided I should kidnap princess Bubblegum..." And right then, he zapped ice lightning right at Finn, but it missed and hit the formula that the princess was holding.

"What the flip, dude!" Finn and Jake yelled at Ice King at the same time.

The formula immediately froze, and then it started bubbling. How could something frozen bubble? The princess put it down right away. The whole world started to rumble. It was like an earthquake... but there was never an earthquake if there were no giants around. So what was it? Finn, Jake, the princess, and Ice King stepped back from the frozen, bubbling formula.

"What's with all the commotion?" Marceline the Vampire Queen of Ooo walked into the room. Soon enough, Lady Rainicorn was there too. Gladly, she had her universal translator on, so everybody could understand what she said when she asked the same thing Marceline had asked. There was a little circle-shaped object appearing from the bubbling formula.

"The portal," the princess said as all six of them stared at the portal.

The portal grew bigger and bigger until it was the size of a person. The portal was facing down, so people could fall strait through it if there was any on the other side. Suddenly, four people and two animals fell out of the portal.

A girl about Finn's age sat up and rubbed her head. She had long white socks with blue stripes on top, a dark blue skirt, and a light blue top. The weirdest thing was that she had a hat and green backpack, like Finn, only her hat was a bunny hat. They both stared at each other, and somehow Finn felt some kind of connection to this girl. Someone else sat up and shook their head. He looked like Marceline... but a guy version of her. He had a red flannel shirt and jeans on. The next person who sat up blinked their eyes twice. It was a cat. The cat stretched out her hand and stretched it back in. It wasn't just any cat, it was a magic cat, like Jake. Only Jake was a dog. An animal jumped up and stomped its hooves. It was like Lady Rainicorn, but one color only, grey. A lady with a big, pouffy, blue dress sat up. She had white hair, Kind of like Ice King, and an angry look on her face. The last person who stood up was a guy like Princess Bubblegum, Only he was a guy, not a girl. He had pink hair and a pink royal suit on.

"What the cabbage?" The pink guy said in confusion.

"Where are we?" The girl with the bunny hat asked the magic cat.

"I don't know honey, but I'm sure there is some explanation why all these people around us look like us," the cat answered.

They all just stared at each other for a few minutes, trying to believe what was happening. The silence was interrupted when the Ice King started talking.

"Hey, I remember you guys. You were part of my fan fiction. So that means... that means Fionna should like me?" Ice King asked as he started going closer to the girl and the cat.

"Ew! No, back off you psycho!" The girl said nervously and took out her sword quickly.

"Alright, alright, fine. At the very least let me show Ice Queen my castle," He said, raising up his hands.

"Nuts! Ice King, you know these people?" Princess Bubblegum asked.

"Of course I do. Didn't I tell you that they were part of my fan fiction already? Look, this girl here that looks like Finn is Fiona, this magic cat here is Cake, this pink guy over here is Prince Gumball, this Monochromicorn is Lord Monochromicorn, this vampire dude here is Marshal Lee, and this beautiful ice woman over here is the opposite of me, she is the Ice Queen." He explained.

"For evil people, you and the Ice Queen seem pretty neutral right now," Finn commented.

"Well yeah, duh, this is confusing enough for my fan fiction people to come alive," the Ice King said, seeming annoyed.

"So, um, I've been processing the current events in my head and I've come to the answer that the formula that the Ice King disturbed made a portal to another world, a parallel universe. Only this wasn't exactly parallel, it was a tiny bit to the right of the portal current, making a gender swap of us. What exactly happened in your world before you came here, Gumball?" Princess Bubblegum said.

"Well, all I really remember is having our whole world being sucked into a hole. I remember being sucked into the hole, and then seeing nothing," the prince exclaimed.

"Yup, so I'm right. These are our almost-parallel selves, guys."

"Will we be able to get back to our land of Aaa?" Lord Monochromicorn asked with his universal translator on.

"I'll need to work on making the right potion for you guys to get back home. Gumball, would you mind helping?" Bubblegum asked.

"No, not at all. I am pleased to help you." answered Gumball.

"In the mean time everyone, we can get to know each other a little more," Bubblegum announced.

Marceline stared at Marshal. Marshal stuck his tongue out at Marceline, and Marceline did the same. They both laughed. Soon, everybody started getting used to each other. They started getting to know each other a little more.

"So, you protect the land of Ooo too, just like me and Jake?" Finn asked Fionna.

"Yup, but out land is called Aaa. It's pretty fun," Fionna replied.

"So, I see that you're magical, like me. Right?" Jake asked Cake.

"Course I am, hun. I can stretch really far," Cake answered.

"Have you had zombies invade your Candy Kingdom?" Bubblegum asked Gumball.

"Yep, when I accidentally messed up a formula," replied Gumball.

"That's exactly what happened with us, too! Extraordinary!" Bubblegum beamed.

"So, I see that we are quite different, yet the same?" Lord Monochromicorn asked with his universal translator on. Lord spoke by tapping his hoof like a telegraph, so he could speak in morse code.

"Yes, I suppose so," Lady Rainicorn replied with her universal translator on. Lady spoke in Korean, and only Jake and Bubblegum could understand her, and some of her other family and friends.

"I've been trying to kidnap princesses all my life. Finn and Jake would always prevent me from doing so..." the Ice King started to say.

"I've also been trying to do the same thing, only with princes. It's so annoying how Fionna and Cake always try to stop me!" the Ice Queen blurted.

"So, I see you have an axe guitar too?" Marceline asked Marshal.

"Yeah I like to play it a lot," Marshal answered.

"Wow, this is so weird, having a different version of us right in front of our eyes..." Finn said.

Princess Bubblegum started to announce something important, "Everyone, what ever you do, try not to have any physical interaction with your gender swap, it might cause something to happen--"

But a few people had already left the room. Ice King the Ice Queen had went to Ice King's castle. Marceline had brought Marshal to her house, to see if Marshal's house was any different. Finn, Fiona, Jake, and Cake went to the tree house to go play video games on BMO. Lady and Lord were somewhere else in the castle. So, Bubblegum just shrugged it off and started doing experiments with Gumball in the chemistry lab, which was quite fun.
